Dr. Elia is a member of Royal College of Physicians in London, UK and also a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK.

Dr. Elia was granted a Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) designation by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) in 2013.

Dr. Elia believes in providing excellence in comprehensive care by using acquired skills through professional competency and also as a compassionate human being.

He believes in employing the latest knowledge and techniques in detecting and preventing disease and the restoration of health.

He started his post graduate training in General Medicine in England, UK during 1996. He attained membership from the Royal College of Physicians in London (MRCP) upon completion of postgraduate training in Internal medicine in 2000. He undertook a post in Rheumatology and Internal medicine at a more senior level over a period of nearly 5 years at the National Health Trusts in Southern England.

New career opportunities in 2004 led him to explore his professional development further in Primary care and Family Medicine in Southern England, and in 2007 he accomplished the recognized training of Family Medicine and was awarded the prestigious qualification from Royal College of General Practitioners in England UK (MRCGP). He continued his clinical practice in Family Medicine in England from 2004 until 2012.

During 2012 Dr. Elia emigrated to Canada and continued his career in Family Medicine in The Province of Alberta until October 2017. In 2013, he attained Certification of The College of Family Physicians in Canada (CCFP).

He was awarded Excellence in Patient satisfaction in Alberta in 2013, 2014 and 2017, as rated by patients online.

In addition to providing the full range of general practitioner services, Dr. Elia, through his rewarding training and fulfilling career in the south of England for over 17 years, has gained a wide spectrum of expertise in General Medicine with special interest in Rheumatology, Cardiology and Diabetology.
